The New Judges Association is a collection of judges and prosecutors, organized at the federal level as a registered organization (based in Frankfurt am Main) and represented to the outside by its executive committee. In most federal state, the NRV is represented by national associations, which are represented by national speaker committees. On certain topics, the NRV has formed national expert groups for relevant work. The NRV acts in name for:

• The democratization of society

• The protection of minority groups and the preservation of livelihoods

• The respect of human rights and fundamental rights

• Fair solutions of substantive law and procedural law

The basic designs of the NRV are based on this:

• For a possibly hierarchy-free justice structure as an independent third-party authority.

• The demand for adequate working conditions

• The concepts of the judge’s image with consequences for training and recruitment

• Association of judges, prosecutors
