The Biochemical Association, founded in 1920, is a health association for Naturopathy, health care and nutrition. Its main goals/objectives are the dissemination and promotion of naturopathic treatments and the education of fellow citizens about natural measures and ways of preventive healthcare. In addition to other naturopathic treatments, the cost-effective mineral salts therapy of the Oldenburg doctor Wilhelm-Heinrich Schüßler- called “Biochemistry” is traditionally the focus of educational and training efforts. The association organizes lectures, seminars and congresses on these topics and thus offers “help for self-help”
The Biochemical Association advocates health policy for the preservation of naturopathy and natural remedies. The organization commits itself to comprehensive environmental protection and, above all, to keeping air and water clean. According to the findings of modern international nutritional science, the organization considers that educating the population about a nutrient-rich, full-fledged diet is a fundamental public health task. Along with this, it raises the demand for politicians, industry and agriculture to produce more foreign-freer and the most natural food as possible.
Programmatically, the Biochemical Association is against food radiation/irradiation, the use of growth hormones in agriculture and the production of sale of genetically modified foods. The association calls for the drastic reduction of chemical additives in the production of food. It directs against the use of artificial iodine and fluorides as well as other drug-like substances in food. It particularly criticises the increase of pollution levels in our most important food: drinking water! Therefore, the Biochemical Association has a lot to offer when it comes to health!
