Relief organisation, developmental aid association, human rights organisation, Bangladeshi in Germany and scholars have incorporated into the Bangladesh forum. Through their corporation, they want to work towards making the country’s problems more heard by the German public. The concerns of the disadvantaged population in political decisions should be more strongly considered. And the civil society in Bangladesh should be supported in their work.

Two work groups were created that deal with two key issues for Bangladesh: poverty reduction/Food security and human rights. All members have been active in Bangladesh work for many years and have numerous contacts to organizations, institutions and individuals on site.

Bangladesh Forum members consist of the Bangladesh working groups in Niedersachsen, Amnesty International German Section, Bread for the World, Bangladesh Studies and Development Centre, Episcopal Relief Organization MISEREOR eV, Protestant Development Service (EED), Heinrich Böll Foundation, Mati eV Bangladesh, NETZ Partnership for Development and Justice eV, Partnership Shanti Bangladesh eV, South Asia Forum. Individual members consist of the scholars Dr. med Petra Dannecker, Dr. Eva Gerharz and Dr. Martin Peter Houscht. The relief organisation of the Evangelical Church of Switzerland (HEKS) has a guest status.
