++ Who we are ++

The Association Citizen Demand Climate Protection (short for/aka BBK) initiates and supports local groups nationwide which want to foster/promote climate protection through direct democracy. At the municipal level there are a variety of approaches, one of the most important which is the energy supply structure and the ownership of local power grids.

BBK works party and organization independent as well as free of charge and unbureaucratically. We are an umbrella organization. We activate and support the citizens, Initiatives, Campaigns and Alliances for climate-friendly and climate-damaging policies. An advisory board of experts from the fields of climate protection and direct democracy advises us.

++ What we offer ++

We have an idea of how one can practice climate protection alone: We want to initiate citizen applications and citizen requests in as many municipalities as possible, in which a climate-friendly energy supply is demanded from community representatives.

We must not live with the nuclear power of big corporations. For example, municipal utilities are much better suites to an ecological power supply in many places. And a new concession contract for the use of the power grid can create conditions that are useful for climate protection. There are many more of these ideas- and there’s certainly something for you that fits your local community.

We would not only like to share these ideas with you but we will also support you in implementing these ideas yourself. We can do that and more for you. Understandably for free and unbureaucratic:

• Personal guidance for citizens, Initiatives and alliances

• Mediation between experts, Institutes and lawyers, etc.

• Provision of reports, studies, worksheets, etc.

• Further education in legal issues, press and public relations, fundraising, etc.

• Guidance through a local campaign plan

• Support with regional and nationwide, for example, nationwide press relations

• Documentation of nationwide direct democracy initiatives on climate protection.
