Basic goals of our Organisation

• Autism is not a disease!

• Autism is diverse

• Autism is a part of our personalities!

The Organisation’s goal is to collect the concerns and experiences of autistic individuals and to represent our interests to professionals and institutions. When it comes to autistic individuals, we consider ourselves to be competent speaking partners and hold ourselves to the expectations that we do not talk over our heads and that we make representative decisions. In this sense, Apsies e.V. aims to bring awareness to autism and to engage in research, meetings and social developments/awareness.

We organize and create rooms, in which autistic individuals can meet with each other. Aspies e.V. endeavours to clarify this confusion and reduce the barriers as well as prevent mistreatment and facilitate autistic individuals with access to medical and therapeutic care. In addition, we are particularly committed to reducing the barriers in the training of appropriate/suitable jobs because many autistic individuals have, out of necessity to help themselves, developed interest in this field and acquired unusually great knowledge and skills which can be used to help other autistic individuals.

We are committed to the participation of autistic individuals according to their abilities in school, education and study, work and occupation and in all public affairs. To promote that we will both support the independent projects of autistic individuals and the protected rooms in which they can develop freely, as well as the possibilities of integration. Aspies e.V.’s goal is to create exchanges and encounters on an equal level on the basis of mutual tolerance and recognition for all who are interested in such exchanges.
